Sports Shoes Have Eliminated My Aches and Pains
I play kickball, I run, I skip, and I work. I go non-stop from the time I wake up until I go to bed. This also means that I need comfortable shoes so that my feet do not ache when it is time to turn out the lights and rest up for another day of being a mom. The best shoes that I have found so far are sports shoes and I personally feel that every woman who has children that want someone to play with them, should wear them every day. My personal opinion is heels are for work, athletic shoes are for when your job requirement is to be a mom.
Why Do My Feet Hurt?
When my husband and I decided to start a family, we agreed I would stay home. I really had visions of having fun with kids, doing crafts, and extra time. Of course that never happened at our house. We are always on the move. Their young feet and legs never seem to get the least bit tired of skipping around the yard, and kicking a ball back and forth. I didn’t think much about playing that way with them either until I began to notice that after extremely active days with the kids, I would ache. My feet, my legs, and my back would cramp and ache. The next morning I would hardly be able to stand up without pain in my feet. At first I told my kids that we couldn’t go play today, but I couldn’t handle letting them feel that mommy didn’t want to play with them.
I Decide I Might Need Sport Shoes
So, I tried hard to figure out what the problem could be. At nearly 30-years-old I couldn’t quite say that I was simply getting too old to keep up. Then I had a brain storm. Perhaps it wasn’t a problem with me, but a problem with my shoes. Could my shoes be causing the aching bones and muscles? After some research I discovered that yes, it was very possible.
I discovered that there are actually several different types of shoes. There are shoes for running, shoes for walking and shoes that are ideal for aerobics. Each type of shoe has various features that can protect your feet and other areas of your body so that you do not get achy at the end of the day. Once I discovered this little bit of information the hardest part of my decision then became which type of shoe suits the activities that I do on a daily basis.
My Choice in Sport Shoes
I opted to go for the type of sports shoes that are lightweight and cushioned to lessen the shockwaves that your feet deal with on every step you take. They are more like the shoes for aerobics and as any mom will know, you get your daily workout when chasing around a few young children, both in and out of the house all day long.
I can’t believe it was such a simple solution. I recently sprouted my first gray hair, and I was really depressed. I thought getting tired and achey surely meant I was getting older too. I have to say just changing my shoesMy kids are delighted to have me back outside in the yard chasing them and their ball around and I am happy that aches and pains are no longer a daily visitor. Getting good fitting sport shoes was the best decision I could have ever made and I completely recommend that any busy mom consider doing the same. If you’re feeling tired, look down, it just might be your shoes.
