Love Your Pregnant Belly and Look Great with JCPenny Maternity Clothes
It didn’t take me long to realize two very important things that no one really will tell you about until you are pregnant. One of those apparent secrets is that you will outgrow your clothes faster than you realize, and two is the fact that stylish maternity clothes are hard to find and not very cheap. They should include warnings about this aspect of pregnancy when young ladies are in school as a part of sex-ed. I also think family planning should include lessons on how to save up the money you will need to spend once you see a positive sign on your home test.
Searching for Maternity Clothes
If you visit online retailers you will find simple maternity dresses and shirts that can cost nearly $100.00 each. When you are supposed to be saving for the things baby will need, can you afford it? I couldn’t. So, I went to local retail stores. They don’t carry maternity clothes. However, as a fluke I was shopping in the mall with a friend of mine and we found a JCPenny store. I decided to try my luck. I managed to strike gold and have returned several times as my belly grew to purchase JCPenny maternity supplies.
JCPenney Maternity Clothes
At JCPenny I found everything my changing pregnant body needed. They offer a variety of nursing bras, comfort panties, jeans, shirts, dresses and even bathing suits. I was in heaven. The prices were reasonable and the clothes were both trendy and cute. They had the styles that I could love wearing and that looked as good as some of those online maternity stores. There were dresses that I could wear to work or on a date with my husband. They offered lacy tops that would flatter the pregnant body and I admit, they even made me feel sexy even as my belly grew beyond anything I would have imagined.
I Don’t Lose the Baby Weight as Fast as I Thought I Would
I was unfortunate enough to be one of those women who gained more than I was supposed to gain while pregnant. By the time I was in my eighth month, I was feeling pretty rotten about myself because I am not the tallest person and now I had 50 pounds more weight to carry around. However, the maternity clothes that I had bought still fit me and looked good on me. I may have felt not so confident inside, but at least I didn’t have to look that way. I owed it all to the maternity section in this store; the store I have personally dubbed, “the pregnant ladies dream store.”
Still Wearing JCPenney Maternity Clothes
After the birth of my daughter, I still wear the clothes that I purchased while I was pregnant, especially the tops because they are comfortable and I still have some of the extra baby weight that doesn’t seem to want to go away. I am so glad that JCPenny maternity understands that just because you are pregnant it does not mean that you want to spend more than clothes are worth or look like a slob. Even though I am still wearing some of my maternity clothes, because they are cut stylishly, I can belt down the tops and they definitely don’t look like maternity tops.
Maybe one day I will give up wearing my maternity clothes or give them away to someone who has began their search for clothing that fits their growing baby belly but I am not ready to yet. For now, I simply tell them where to go to find the clothes that they also love to wear.
