Don’t Get a Graco Snugride 35 Without Reading This Review
I got a Graco Snugride 35, and it was the carrier I brought my beautiful daughter home from the hospital in. I’ve never used a car seat before and I was actually nervous about putting my baby in it correctly. Yeah, I know, talk about freaking myself out over nothing. There is a 5-point harness that goes easily over my baby, and it was easily adjusted to fit her. She’s grown fast over the past couple of months, and it’s been easy to adjust the harness to keep her safe yet comfortable.
Why I Chose a Graco Snugride 35
One of the biggest reasons that drew me to the Snugride was the fact the car seat attaches seamlessly to a stroller. We are a very active family. We love to go to the parks, the zoo, the beach, and whenever finances allow we love to go on vacation. My daughter is only a few months old, but she loves being the car, seeing things, and I have to say she’s a great little traveler already. Plus the safety features on this car seat really make me feel like my daughter is very safe traveling in this car seat.
What I like About the Graco Snugride 35
I know this car seat will easily take my daughter from newborn to toddler with ease. This car seat will hold up to 32lbs. One thing I really liked was the LATCH-equipped stay-in-car base, which also has a base level indicator. This will actually tell you if the car seat isn’t installed at the right angle. For someone like me that likes to check and double-check everything, that was a huge bonus for knowing it’s done correctly. The washable cushion was also a big selling point for me. After my daughter burped up most of a bottle on the way home from a well baby visit at the doctors that machine washable cushion sold itself to me right then and there. The rest of the car seat was very easy to clean and disinfect too.
What I Didn’t Like
The one and sole thing I didn’t like about this car seat wasn’t actually an issue with the car seat. I had been gifted an older model of Graco stroller, and it used the “Classic Connect” system to attach the car seat to the stroller. Well, with the Snugride, this model uses a connection system that is referred to as “Click Connect” and it’s a little different. I had to get a different stroller to use my Graco Snugride car seat with the stroller, but as much as we are on the go, it was a necessity.
Bottom Line: Would I Recommend It?
Yes, I would recommend this car seat to anyone. It’s easy to use, and I really love the fact I can take my daughter when she’s snoozing the car, and just click the car seat into place on the stroller and go. She’s not disturbed and can finish her nap even when Mommy has 10,000 errands that must be handled. This car seat is top rated by numerous consumer magazines and has been rigorously crash tested. All of those things give me confidence in this particular model of car seat.
The Graco Snugride 35 is a great car seat for active families. It makes bringing baby along safe and convenient for me as a parent and comfortable for my baby. The only thing you need to be aware of is the two different connection systems for car seats that Graco is now apparently using and make sure don’t mix up a Classic Connect and Click Connect stroller and car seat, and you’re ready to roll.
