In Love With The DaVinci Annabelle Mini Crib
Because we live in a much smaller house than we used to, there is always a need for maximizing the use of every square inch. We recently found that we were going to be downsizing as we moved from one house to the next on a temporary basis, for about two years. Having 3 children, a baby on the way and two adults can be quite challenging even with a larger home. I knew that we had to try to do everything that we could to get the house in perfect order before the baby came. This meant trying to be a little bit creative with all of our furniture choices as well as our storage options. The last thing that I wanted to do was have to try to make a nursery out of the corner of the living room, so I had to do some thinking.
Enter the DaVinci Annabelle Mini Crib
As I was shopping around for bedding options for our baby on the way, I knew that a traditional crib was not going to be the best option. We hadn’t planned on having another baby, so of course we had gotten rid of all of the baby furnishings that we had, either through giving them away or selling them in yard sales. Even the bassinet that I had been sold at some point and I knew that I needed something similar to fit into our current living situation. However, I didn’t want the baby to grow out of it too quickly, so I simply did a search online for compact cribs and mini cribs.
Searching for a Good Crib
While I searched around, I was surprised to find out that there are so many parents who are looking for space saving crib options. Much to my delight, I found a handful of great candidates that I felt would work nicely for our space as well as the budget that we had to invest into baby furnishings. With the DaVinci Annabelle mini crib you basically get all of the features and quality that you would get in a full sized crib, just this one is more compact n size. Not only that, but it is awfully cute!
DaVinci Annabelle Mini Crib Features
I have to say that from the moment we got the box delivered and started to put this crib together, both my husband and I fell in love with it. You could just tell from each piece that it is a quality piece of baby furniture. It is crafted from pine wood from New Zealand, that is completely sustainable by the way for any of you parents who are trying to live green. As far as other materials, you have MDF as a mattress support board that is completely CARB II compliant. I didn’t have to worry about anything harmful to the baby because it has a non-toxic finish and it is listed as being both phthalate and lead free.
Four Levels of Mattress Support on the DaVinci Annabelle Mini Crib
One of the best things about the DaVinci Annabelle mini crib is that it has mattress support that can be used on four different levels. I really liked the idea of this as I do not know exactly how long we will be living in the smaller home so having the flexibility of the crib growing with our baby is a really plus. I can see how this design would be perfect for other families who need a smaller crib that will grow as their child grows without them having to get something new each year without having the room.
I have to say that since our baby arrived, we have enjoyed being able to move this crib from room to room. The espresso finish is just right to match with the rest of our furnishings, so it never looks as though it is out of place. I would recommend the DaVinci Annabelle mini crib to any parents who are limited on space or want to be able to have a portable unit.
