Best Pack n Play Accessories
I just bought the best pack n play for my twins. I have never been big about shopping online, but I was researching pack and play systems for the best one to get, and I ran across a coupon I could use at an online store. So I made my first purchase. Besides paying bills, I’ve always avoided online shopping, so this was a big deal for me. Now that we have it, I was noticing there are a lot of accessories you can use for these systems that make them even more useful. I put together a list of accessories I found that you might like.
Best Pack n Play Insect Protection
We have mosquitos here like crazy. In fact, we often joke they should replace our state bird with a mosquito. We also have biting flies. Since mosquitoes can carry disease and I don’t like the idea of slathering my babies in insect repellant, I found mosquito netting that goes right over the playpen and keeps the biting bugs off. This mosquito netting fits most pack and plays. Check measurements to be sure it will drape over the sides of your system.
Making Your Baby Pack n Play More Comfy
You cannot go wrong with the the Graco Quilted Playard Sheet. It’s soft, durable, and available in blue, green, pink, and brown. It makes the playard a much more comfortable place to play. My little ones enjoy putting the quilt across the top of their playard and sometimes it’s a submarine and sometimes it’s a tent. As long as I’m in the room, it’s fine by me.
If Your Pack and Play Model Doesn’t Have the Music Center
You may want to check into a fun musical mobile that you can take along with the playard. I personally like the Tiny Love Take Along Mobile. This mobile is geared towards girls and has no shortage of pink and adorable as it’s features. It plays soothing music and the characters on the mobile gentle turn. There’s a mobile with a less pink available in the blue Soothe and Groove model.
Best Mattress for a Playard
If you’re going to use your pack and play as a travel crib like we do, you will want to invest in a good mattress. I recommend the Colgate Playard Mattress. It’s cut to fit the shape of most playards, obviously measure your playard before you buy. You don’t want any spaces between the playard sides and the mattress. It should fit as firm and snug as a crib mattress. This is great for weekend visits to Grandma’s because your child is sleeping in a familiar place. It works out great for us.
Those are just a few of the cool accessories you can get to make your baby play yard the best pack n play for your little one to play safely in. My kids don’t spend a lot of time in theirs, actually they’d spend more time if I let them. But I like to make sure the time they spend is safe and comfortable, you can have the best of both worlds with these playard accessories. If you know of a great accessory I missed here in my rough and ready list, leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you.
